Christmas

It's Christmas night. All the gifts have been opened, all the wrapping paper has been thrown out, there are still toys all over the living room, but hey, you've got an almost three year-old. Every one is now sitting around with their eyes glazed over, or in a "food coma" from dinner. Ahh, Christmas! Too bad it only comes once a year.

So just what was celebrated on this fine day? I'll tell you, underneath all the glitz, glamor, decorated tree, wrapped presents, and all that, what we are really celebrating here is the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ. The only Son of God. This is the day of the Christ Mass! It seems that every year more and more people forget that we are celebrating the birth of Christ. They want to make it into their own "holiday".

I've got just two things to say about that notion: Sit down, and shut up!
